For Spring 2015 we are selling Hanging Baskets, Patio Planters, Strawberry Baskets, 10pack Herb and Tomato mix, 10 packs of potted Geraniums, Petunias and Marigolds – Plus Organic Potting Soil and Fertilizer… all supplied through DeVry Greenhouse’s “Growing Smiles Fundraising” program.

GAMES CLUB
Thursdays (April 23-May 14)…2:40-3:45~~meet Mrs. Yachuk in room 33 for an hour of board games, lego building and group activities. Open to all students in grades 1-5. Cost is $10.00 for four weeks.
GYM GAMES
Thursdays (April 23-May 14)…2:40-3:45~~join Mrs. Robinson in the gym for a variety of team sports and group games. Weather dependent, we may use the outside field. Open to all students in grades 2-5. Cost is $10.00 for four weeks.
CHILDREN’S BOOK CLUB (new program)
Wednesday (April 22-May 13)…2:40-3:45~~join Mrs. Mckay in the library to discuss your favorite books, enjoy some quite time to read, and share your adventures with friends! Read along with the group as we explore some of Langley’s Books of the Year! Our first books will be:
Grade 4&5 – JINX by Sage Blackwood (Trolls, werewolves, and butter-churn riding witches lurk amid the clawing branches…)
Grade 2&3 – Ctrl-Z by Andrew Norriss (when your computer takes you back to earlier in the day…..)
Bring your favorite book the first day, and check out our Book Club books from the local library. Open to students in grades 2-5. Cost is $5.00 for four weeks.
CRAFT/STORYTIME (new program)
Wednesdays (April 22-May 13)…2:40-3:45~~meet Miss Robinson in room 33 for a fun hour of storytelling and crafts/games. Open to students in kindergarten and grade 1. Cost is $10.00 for four weeks.
STOP MOTION LEGO
Join Eli and Jeff in the library on Friday, April 24 from 3:30-5:00 for an afternoon class on how to use lego to make a stop motion short film. This class is for students in grades 3-5. Cost is $10.00.
RUNNING GROUP/BOOT CAMP
Calling all adults!! Come join us for runs (leaving from Langley Meadows) or bootcamps at McLeod Athletic Park. Please check out our facebook page ‘Langley Meadows Running Group’ for the posted runs/boot camps and schedule changes. Free to join.
BOOK CLUB FOR ADULTS (new program)
Interested in joining a book club? We are interested in starting one up! Come join us in the library the last Friday of each month from 6:00pm-8:00pm. The first meeting will be on April 24 and, together, we will choose books for May and June. Free to join.
MOTHERS’ DAY TEA
Just for the ladies! We are going to celebrate mothers/daughters/aunts and grandmothers. Girls…bring your special someone to the school library from 3:30-5:30 on Friday, May 8. We will be providing a high tea along with some special pampering…nails, hair, makeup and henna. All ages welcome…children must be accompanied by an adult. $5.00 per person.
Please note that there is limited enrollment with all the children’s programming so we suggest that you get your registration forms back to the office early.
